Pool Parties, Spennymoor Leisure Centre
We are holding pool party's for all our members from 6:15pm to 9:15pm on the dates shown below at Spennymoor Leisure Centre. Our group will have exclusive use of the pool and changing area (lockers are paid for) Pool attendants will be provided to cater for the numbers coming but one adult per three children under eight years of age is needed, so we would expect parents to attend to their own children. The wave machine will be on periodically and we have arranged for the slide and pool inflatable (if they can fix the leak) to be available for older children who can swim unaided. Refreshments will be provided for everyone. These will be served at the pool side towards the end of the evening. The cost will be £3 per person and free for special needs children. Diggerland Trip Sunday 22nd of June 2008 We have arranged a two hour exclusive group visit to Diggerland, Langley Park, Durham. CDASG members will have exclusive use of the park including machines, marshals and rides. The Dig Inn and the Goodie Store will also be open for the duration of the visit. The cost will be £5 per person. There are limited places so if you wish to come please return your application form ASAP. Confirmation and directions with be sent on receipt of your application form and payment. As there are limited places I cannot reserve places until payment is received. CDASG Monday 8th of September 2008 Monday 6th of October 2008 Monday 3rd of November 2008. The November night will be our Halloween night should your child wish to come in fancy dress. This is a fantastic venue with loads of facilities including a large play area, a small climbing wall, a basket ball court, trampolines, go-carts (additional cost £1) and bowling lane (additional cost £3).The cost for attending the evenings will be £4 per child which includes their meal. Places will be on a first come basis.Our children will have exclusive access to the venue and a choice of meal.Confirmation and directions will be sent out on receipt of your application form. I have decided to put all the evenings on one application form to save members time and postage or you can apply for individual evenings if you wish. Bowling
in Durham
Ten Pin Bowling 3pm Sunday 16th November 2008 KASCADA Bowl, Durham. CDASG are having a bowling afternoon at Kascada bowling in
Durham. The cost will be We will meet at 2:50pm prompt to start playing at 3pm. Flamingo Land Trip Sunday 19th October 2008 Coaches will leave from County Hall in Durham, Spennymoor Town Hall and Darlington outside the Dolphin Centre.Places will cost £5 per person (this includes adults, carers and children). Please complete and return the application form with payment ASAP and no later than Saturday 27th of September. There are limited places on the coaches so I will book them on a first come first served basis.Provisionally the coaches will leave at about 8.30 am (times will be confirmed nearer the time) to arrive at Flamingo Land at approximately 11:00 am. We will meet back at the coaches at 4pm and arrive home around 6:30pm. Full details and directions will be sent out nearer the time. Night
We are holding a fund raising Race night at Low Spennymoor &
Merrington Lane Workmens Club On Friday 26th of September at 7:30pm, Races start 8pm Our last race night was a great deal of fun. If you didn You can buy a horse for £3 from me (you win a prize if your horse is the winner) and you can also bet on horses to win on the night. If you cannot come along on the evening you can sponsor a race for £20 or buy a horse. Please support us in this fund raising evening. CDASG Sponsored Walk Sunday 10th of August At Herrington Park, Chester Road, Penshaw Meet at 9:45, walk at 10am and have picnic lunch at 12 noon. We have changed the venue for our sponsored walk this year as so few people attended last year. We hope that having a more central venue will encourage families to turn up, have a fun day and raise funds to help us continue to run activities throughout the year. We will meet at a central point and set off on a leisurely sponsored walk finishing for a picnic lunch at 12 noon (you need to bring your own picnic lunch). If you would like to attend please complete the application form with this newsletter and I will send you out a sponsor form and directions of how to get to the park and where to meet on the day.
